# Tonechaser vs jAmp 8100

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tonechaser at none against jAmp 8100's 1. Tonechaser also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 67%) and ratings volume (25 vs 5). jAmp 8100's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. jAmp 8100 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tonechaser asks for nothing beyond the download.

jAmp 8100 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tonechaser has 25 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Tonechaser's written reviews are positive against 67% of jAmp 8100's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tonechaser ships an update fortnightly, jAmp 8100 every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
