# Simple VPN Pro vs 9D VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Simple VPN Pro at 100% against 9D VPN's 44%. Simple VPN Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). 9D VPN's advantage is ratings volume (530 vs 11) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple VPN Pro sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and 9D VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

9D VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 9D VPN has 530 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Simple VPN Pro's written reviews are positive against 44% of 9D VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
