# Simple VPN Pro vs i9VPN

The clearest difference is rating: i9VPN at 4.8 against Simple VPN Pro's 4.2. i9VPN also leads on ratings volume (194 vs 11). Simple VPN Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple VPN Pro sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and i9VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

i9VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i9VPN has 194 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simple VPN Pro ships an update fortnightly, i9VPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
