# Custom Slideshow vs FaceMagic

The clearest difference is update cadence: FaceMagic at every 6 days against Custom Slideshow's every 40 months. FaceMagic also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.5 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Slideshow sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and FaceMagic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
