# Next Drop vs Instock

The clearest difference is ads: Next Drop at none against Instock's shown. Next Drop also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 15) and chart position (#94 vs unranked). Instock's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Next Drop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Instock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Next Drop against 4.7 for Instock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Next Drop has 1.1K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Next Drop's written reviews are positive against 75% of Instock's.

Next Drop ships an update every 2 weeks, Instock every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
