# Next Drop vs SpLive

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SpLive at none against Next Drop's 3. SpLive also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 73%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Next Drop's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 3) and chart position (#63 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Next Drop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. SpLive asks for nothing beyond the download.

SpLive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Next Drop has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of Next Drop's written reviews are positive against 100% of SpLive's.

Next Drop ships an update every 2 weeks, SpLive every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
