# FastCam vs ProofCam

FastCam and ProofCam both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of FastCam's written reviews are positive against 14% of ProofCam's. FastCam also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). ProofCam's advantage is ratings volume (87 vs 16). On price, rating, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProofCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. FastCam asks for nothing beyond the download.

ProofCam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProofCam has 87 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of FastCam's written reviews are positive against 14% of ProofCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FastCam ships an update every 2 weeks, ProofCam fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
