# Pin Pulls vs Pull the Pin

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pull the Pin at free against Pin Pulls's free with in-app purchases. Pull the Pin also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 37%). Pin Pulls's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (313 vs 40). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pin Pulls sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pull the Pin sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pin Pulls holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pin Pulls has 313 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Pin Pulls's written reviews are positive against 55% of Pull the Pin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pin Pulls ships an update every 4 weeks, Pull the Pin every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
