# Digital Clock vs SimpleClock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SimpleClock at 100% against Digital Clock's 51%. SimpleClock also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Digital Clock's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SimpleClock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpleClock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Clock has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Digital Clock ships an update every 3 weeks, SimpleClock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
