# Digital Clock vs Alarm

Digital Clock and Alarm both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of Alarm's written reviews are positive against 51% of Digital Clock's. Alarm also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). Digital Clock's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 106). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Alarm sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Digital Clock against 4.5 for Alarm. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Clock has 1.3K ratings behind it against 106, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of Digital Clock's written reviews are positive against 76% of Alarm's.

Digital Clock ships an update every 3 weeks, Alarm monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
