# Digital Clock vs Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget at 100% against Digital Clock's 51%. Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17). Digital Clock's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Clock has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Digital Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
