# Par Timer Pro vs Range Buddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Range Buddy at 100% against Par Timer Pro's 59%. Range Buddy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and device support (4 vs 2). Par Timer Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (377 vs 19). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Par Timer Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Range Buddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Range Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Par Timer Pro has 377 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Par Timer Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Range Buddy's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
