# NotePlan vs Noble Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: NotePlan at monthly against Noble Notes's every 16 months. NotePlan also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). Noble Notes's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Noble Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
