# NotePlan vs Tatask

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tatask at freemium against NotePlan's subscription. Tatask also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%). NotePlan's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Tatask sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotePlan ships an update monthly, Tatask every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
