# NotePlan vs Kipit

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NotePlan at 85% against Kipit's 33%. NotePlan also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 5). Kipit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Kipit asks for nothing beyond the download.

NotePlan holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotePlan has 1.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of NotePlan's written reviews are positive against 33% of Kipit's.

NotePlan ships an update monthly, Kipit fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
