# NotePlan vs Organized

The clearest difference is monetization model: Organized at freemium against NotePlan's subscription. Organized also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). NotePlan's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Organized sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Organized holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotePlan has 1.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NotePlan ships an update monthly, Organized every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
