# NotePlan vs GlossPage

The clearest difference is monetization model: GlossPage at freemium against NotePlan's subscription. GlossPage also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). NotePlan's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 4) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and GlossPage sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GlossPage holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotePlan has 1.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of NotePlan's written reviews are positive against 100% of GlossPage's.

NotePlan ships an update monthly, GlossPage every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
