# NotePlan vs Moving Book

The clearest difference is update cadence: Moving Book at every 10 days against NotePlan's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NotePlan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Moving Book sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotePlan ships an update monthly, Moving Book every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
