# Cthulhu Master vs Deep Saga

The clearest difference is rating: Deep Saga at 4.5 against Cthulhu Master's 4.0. Deep Saga also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 18 months). Cthulhu Master's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cthulhu Master sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Deep Saga sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Deep Saga holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cthulhu Master's written reviews are positive against 67% of Deep Saga's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cthulhu Master ships an update every 18 months, Deep Saga monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
