# CoughPro vs Lung Rot

The clearest difference is rating: Lung Rot at 5.0 against CoughPro's 4.6. Lung Rot also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks). CoughPro's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (40 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CoughPro sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lung Rot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lung Rot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CoughPro has 40 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CoughPro ships an update every 5 weeks, Lung Rot every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
