# Mindlist vs Checklist

The clearest difference is rating: Mindlist at 4.7 against Checklist's 3.7. Mindlist also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 18). Checklist's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindlist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Checklist sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindlist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindlist has 1.6K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Mindlist's written reviews are positive against 68% of Checklist's.

Mindlist ships an update fortnightly, Checklist every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
