# Redstone Guide vs Addons for Minecraft MCPE

Redstone Guide and Addons for Minecraft MCPE both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Addons for Minecraft MCPE's written reviews are positive against 66% of Redstone Guide's. Redstone Guide's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and ratings volume (1K vs 168). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Redstone Guide sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Addons for Minecraft MCPE sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Redstone Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Redstone Guide has 1K ratings behind it against 168, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Redstone Guide's written reviews are positive against 82% of Addons for Minecraft MCPE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Redstone Guide ships an update every 2 weeks, Addons for Minecraft MCPE monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
