# MRCOOL Universal vs Sunbelt Rentals

The clearest difference is rating: Sunbelt Rentals at 2.4 against MRCOOL Universal's 1.4. Sunbelt Rentals also leads on ratings volume (70 vs 14). MRCOOL Universal's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (17% vs 7%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sunbelt Rentals holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sunbelt Rentals has 70 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of MRCOOL Universal's written reviews are positive against 7% of Sunbelt Rentals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MRCOOL Universal ships an update every 2 days, Sunbelt Rentals every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
