# Color Flow 3D vs Element Flow

The clearest difference is rating: Color Flow 3D at 4.4 against Element Flow's 3.4. Color Flow 3D also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (33K vs 1.9K). Element Flow's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 13%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Element Flow sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Color Flow 3D asks for nothing beyond the download.

Color Flow 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Flow 3D has 33K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Color Flow 3D's written reviews are positive against 27% of Element Flow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Color Flow 3D ships an update fortnightly, Element Flow every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
