# Share & Drop vs Beacon

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Share & Drop at none against Beacon's 3. Share & Drop also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 9 days) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). Beacon's advantage is ratings volume (495 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beacon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Share & Drop asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Share & Drop against 4.9 for Beacon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beacon has 495 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
