# AC Pocket Guide vs Pokéos

The clearest difference is price: Pokéos at Free against AC Pocket Guide's $0.99. Pokéos also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (78 vs 4). AC Pocket Guide's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Pokéos is free to download; AC Pocket Guide costs $0.99 up front. Pokéos sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. AC Pocket Guide asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pokéos holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pokéos has 78 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of AC Pocket Guide's written reviews are positive against 70% of Pokéos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AC Pocket Guide ships an update every 4 days, Pokéos every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
