# DWI vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is monetization model: DWI at free with in-app purchases against Event Countdown's subscription. DWI also leads on ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DWI sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Event Countdown sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
