# Legacy Chapel vs Splankna

The clearest difference is update cadence: Splankna at every 2 weeks against Legacy Chapel's every 16 months. Legacy Chapel's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Legacy Chapel against 5.0 for Splankna. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Legacy Chapel has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Legacy Chapel ships an update every 16 months, Splankna every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
