# Essentials Tracker vs The Essential

The clearest difference is rating: Essentials Tracker at 4.3 against The Essential's 4.0. Essentials Tracker also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 16.4). The Essential's advantage is ratings volume (100 vs 4). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Essentials Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Essential has 100 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
