# Progress Timer vs Timers

The clearest difference is rating: Timers at 4.7 against Progress Timer's 4.1. Timers also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (49 vs 11). Progress Timer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Progress Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 49 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Progress Timer's written reviews are positive against 73% of Timers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Progress Timer ships an update every 8 months, Timers every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
