# SailTies vs Float Plan Messenger

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SailTies at 396 against Float Plan Messenger's 3. SailTies also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and chart position (#161 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SailTies sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per year and Float Plan Messenger sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SailTies holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SailTies has 396 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SailTies ships an update every 3 weeks, Float Plan Messenger fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
