# Electrolyte vs Visible

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Visible at 89% against Electrolyte's 40%. Visible also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 2). Electrolyte's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Electrolyte holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visible has 3.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Electrolyte's written reviews are positive against 89% of Visible's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Electrolyte ships an update every 7 months, Visible fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
