# Brushes for Procreate vs SNIP

The clearest difference is rating: Brushes for Procreate at 4.7 against SNIP's 4.0. Brushes for Procreate also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). SNIP's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 48%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brushes for Procreate sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SNIP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brushes for Procreate holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brushes for Procreate has 20K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Brushes for Procreate's written reviews are positive against 81% of SNIP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brushes for Procreate ships an update every 2 months, SNIP every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
