# TFM ELD vs TFM Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: TFM Mobile at 4.0 against TFM ELD's 3.0. TFM Mobile also leads on iOS requirement (10.3 vs 13.0). TFM ELD's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 27 months) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TFM Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TFM ELD has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of TFM ELD's written reviews are positive against 0% of TFM Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TFM ELD ships an update every 5 weeks, TFM Mobile every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
