# Mochi vs Deck

The clearest difference is rating: Mochi at 4.6 against Deck's 4.0. Mochi also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (175 vs 4). Deck's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Deck sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 3 months. Mochi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mochi holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mochi has 175 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Mochi's written reviews are positive against 100% of Deck's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mochi ships an update monthly, Deck every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
