# Mochi vs StudyPod

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mochi at none against StudyPod's 9. Mochi also leads on ads (none vs shown). StudyPod's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudyPod sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Mochi asks for nothing beyond the download.

StudyPod holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 175 and 62 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Mochi's written reviews are positive against 80% of StudyPod's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mochi ships an update monthly, StudyPod fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
