# Mochi vs QuickWord

The clearest difference is update cadence: QuickWord at every 2 days against Mochi's monthly. QuickWord also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Mochi's advantage is ratings volume (175 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QuickWord holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mochi has 175 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mochi ships an update monthly, QuickWord every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
