# SnapMath vs WordMath

The clearest difference is rating: SnapMath at 4.5 against WordMath's 3.6. SnapMath also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 10). WordMath's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 59%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapMath sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and WordMath sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapMath holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SnapMath has 1.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of SnapMath's written reviews are positive against 75% of WordMath's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SnapMath ships an update every 10 days, WordMath every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
