# Boldmethod vs FlightBoss

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Boldmethod at 97% against FlightBoss's 50%. Boldmethod also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (823 vs 10). FlightBoss's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boldmethod sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and FlightBoss sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boldmethod holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boldmethod has 823 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 97% of Boldmethod's written reviews are positive against 50% of FlightBoss's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
