# Math vs Alphablocks World

The clearest difference is monetization model: Math at freemium against Alphablocks World's subscription. Math also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 260). Alphablocks World's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Alphablocks World sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math has 7.7K ratings behind it against 260, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Math's written reviews are positive against 30% of Alphablocks World's.

Math ships an update monthly, Alphablocks World fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
