# Shiftify vs Shift

The clearest difference is ads: Shift at none against Shiftify's shown. Shift also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Shiftify's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (457 vs 11). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiftify sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Shift sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shiftify has 457 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Shiftify's written reviews are positive against 77% of Shift's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shiftify ships an update every 6 days, Shift monthly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
