# Shiftify vs Hourly

The clearest difference is ads: Hourly at none against Shiftify's shown. Shiftify's advantage is ratings volume (472 vs 8) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiftify sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Hourly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Shiftify against 4.8 for Hourly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shiftify has 472 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shiftify ships an update every 6 days, Hourly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
