# SOLTEC vs Somnee

The clearest difference is ads: Somnee at none against SOLTEC's shown. Somnee also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 50%) and ratings volume (71 vs 6). SOLTEC's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs paid). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SOLTEC holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Somnee has 71 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of SOLTEC's written reviews are positive against 64% of Somnee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SOLTEC ships an update every 2 weeks, Somnee every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
