# Down100 vs Spellcaster

The clearest difference is update cadence: Down100 at fortnightly against Spellcaster's every 3 months. Down100 also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Down100 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spellcaster sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Down100 ships an update fortnightly, Spellcaster every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
