# DuoCards vs Match Lingo Language Learning

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Match Lingo Language Learning at 100% against DuoCards's 63%. Match Lingo Language Learning also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). DuoCards's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 7) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DuoCards sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Match Lingo Language Learning sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DuoCards holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DuoCards has 1.4K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of DuoCards's written reviews are positive against 100% of Match Lingo Language Learning's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DuoCards ships an update monthly, Match Lingo Language Learning fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
