# DuoCards vs Guru

The clearest difference is ads: Guru at none against DuoCards's shown. Guru also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). DuoCards's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DuoCards sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Guru sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for DuoCards against 4.7 for Guru. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DuoCards has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DuoCards ships an update monthly, Guru every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
