# EliteCloud vs Control4

The clearest difference is rating: EliteCloud at 4.4 against Control4's 3.6. EliteCloud also leads on iOS requirement (15 vs 18.0). Control4's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (70 vs 9). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EliteCloud holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Control4 has 70 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of EliteCloud's written reviews are positive against 39% of Control4's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EliteCloud ships an update every 5 weeks, Control4 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
