# SmartONE vs AC Remote

The clearest difference is rating: SmartONE at 5.0 against AC Remote's 4.5. SmartONE also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). AC Remote's advantage is ratings volume (199 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AC Remote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. SmartONE asks for nothing beyond the download.

SmartONE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AC Remote has 199 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
