# CL / シーエル vs GL² friend

The clearest difference is monetization model: CL / シーエル at free with in-app purchases against GL² friend's subscription. CL / シーエル also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). GL² friend's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CL / シーエル sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and GL² friend sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
