# BanlanX vs LightElf

The clearest difference is rating: LightElf at 3.0 against BanlanX's 2.5. BanlanX's advantage is ratings volume (258 vs 20) and review sentiment (26% vs 15%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LightElf holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BanlanX has 258 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of BanlanX's written reviews are positive against 15% of LightElf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BanlanX ships an update every 6 weeks, LightElf every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
